Privacy Policy

Effective date: 13 September 2026

This policy explains how BrieflyKeep (“Brief”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Brief browser extension and dashboard.

Information we process

How we use it

We use this information to authenticate you, create and store your personal library, generate requested summaries, apply plan limits, provide support, protect the service from abuse, and improve Brief from optional feedback. We do not sell personal information or use saved content for advertising. Brief’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Service providers and sharing

Brief uses Google for sign-in, Cloudflare to run the service and store application data, and Groq to generate a summary when you ask for one. The text and title you submit for a summary, plus your selected output language, are sent to Groq for that purpose. Cloudflare technical request logs may process approximate location information derived from an IP address, such as country, region, or city, for security, reliability, and abuse prevention. Brief does not use this information for profiling or product analytics. We share information only with providers needed to operate Brief, to comply with law, or to protect against fraud or abuse.

Storage and retention

Your saved content remains in your library until you delete it or delete your account. You can delete individual captures from the dashboard. Deleting your account removes your account profile, saved captures, tags, notes, feedback, reports, usage records, and associated stored snapshots. We may retain a minimal record, such as an email used for a free entitlement, where necessary to enforce limits, prevent abuse, or meet legal obligations.

Your choices and rights

You can sign out, delete individual captures, or use Delete Account in the dashboard. For access, correction, deletion, or privacy questions, contact us at brieflykeephq@gmail.com. If applicable law gives you additional rights, you may exercise them through that contact.

Security and changes

We use reasonable technical measures designed to protect information in transit and at rest. No online service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy as Brief evolves; the current version is always available at this page.
